The Medford Babe Ruth Baseball League provides a competitive and fun baseball experience for players of any ability ages 12 - 15, offering a separate Spring, Summer and Fall Baseball seasons. Players of all abilities can play in the Spring, Summer and Fall Leagues. For those highly competitive players there is also the opportunity to be considered to play on a Medford Babe Ruth Select Summer Travel team competing in the Tompkins All-Star Baseball League.

The Spring Season will run from about early April to mid June including playoffs. Teams will each play approximately 15 games plus playoff games. All teams are made up of players from Medford and Somerville .

Babe Ruth District All-Star Games begin in late June. Players are selected by the coaches to represent Medford Babe Ruth in the 13, 14 and 15 year old divisions.

The Summer League starts around the last week of June and runs until early/mid August. The teams are from nearby towns (in 2012 - Arlington, Somerville and Winchester). Games are played only Monday - Thursday (no weekend games). Teams are made up of players age 12 - 15.

The Summer Select Travel Teams (Tompkins) season runs from the 3rd week of June through the 2nd week of August. Medford Babe Ruth places 3 teams in the highly competitive Lou Tompkins All-Star Baseball League. Three games per week are played on weekends and weekdays. Players for this highly competitive league are selected by the team managers. There is a separate team for each age group - 13, 14, and 15/16.

Fall Transition Baseball. Geared for players making the move from the small little league diamond to the 90’ (big) diamond and at least 12 years old as of April 30th. 14 year olds are also eligible on a space available basis. Clinics/Practice sessions on full size diamonds are planned where players will learn and put to use the skills that are not normally taught on little league fields (e.g. leading, pitching from the stretch, etc.). In-house, as well as inter-city games with other towns, will be played on the weekends during the fall (usually starting the weekend after Labor Day and running until mid October.
